Course overview

Practice assessment is a required element of healthcare programmes. The role of the practice assessor is complex as you are responsible for confirming achievement, ensuring that the assessment is fair, valid, and reliable. Following the practice supervisor day, this interprofessional study day clarifies the role of the practice assessor (NMC 2018; HCPC 2017). This is an interactive day so come prepared to share your knowledge and experience.

What will you gain from the day?

  • Quality assurance of placements
  • Support mechanisms
  • Assessment processes
  • Managing a referral of a placement

Although this programme is provided by Bournemouth University and will reference the programmes we offer, the content of the day can readily be applied to the supervision and assessment of all learners.
