Course overview
Practice placements are integral to a healthcare programme and is essential for professional development. We all remember our first day on placement; being made to feel welcome was vital to becoming part of the team. This interprofessional study day will help you to develop an understanding of the practice supervisor role (NMC 2018; HCPC 2017). This is an interactive day so come prepared to share your knowledge and experience.
What will you gain from the day?
- How to provide an effective practice learning experience
- The role of the practice supervisor
- Coaching as a learning strategy
- Providing feedback and contributing to assessment
Although this programme is provided by Bournemouth University and will reference the programmes we offer, the content of the day can readily be applied to the supervision and assessment of all learners.
